about

Released October 2011 via The Static Cult Label | Recorded and mixed by Fotosputnik

Recorded immediately after releasing “Translucent Marmoset,” this second album was completed between Summer 2009 and Winter 2011. A direct successor to our first album in every sense, “Idiolects” picks up right where “Translucent Marmoset” left off - tape machine experimentation, thick drones, disco samples, open-g tunings, atmospheric guitar sweeps, and too many effects pedals.

Released on compact disc featuring digipak artwork by John Argetsinger.

about

A three-piece collaborative effort heavily influenced by the krautrock movement of 1970's Germany, Fotosputnik's three core ... more members produce and record all tracks in their Chicago home studio. Atmospheric and driving, the trio's sounds compliment a long drive through the desert, lonely walks through the forest, or in speed trials on the Autobahn – hypnotic, steady, but ambient and evolving. less
